March 15: Webinar women and gender in mental health

Datum en tijd
Locatie:
Online

Women and men face different challenges when it comes to mental health, both due to differences in their bodies and different roles, positions and chances in society. Transgenders, non-binary and queer people face additional challenges. How can we design our systems in such a way that they cater optimally to our sex and gender specific mental health needs?

We are delighted with our international set of speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Anne-Laure Sutter-Dallay (Psychiatrist and child-psychiatrist at C.H. Charles Perrens hospital, Bordeaux) on ‘The Maternal Brain’
  • Oliva Nalwadda (Psychologist & Researcher at Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital, Kampala; Founder of Uzima Ari Uganda) on ‘Group-based problem-solving therapy for perinatal depression in Uganda’
  • Linda Hoeksema (Researcher at Groningen University & mental health service Lentis) on ‘Gender and sex differences in Psychosis’
